The Car: Coming Together At Last.

Over the last couple of months I’ve done very little besides searching for parts, and dealing with the curved balls that only an old Italian car can throw.

I’ve finally got the engine parts that I need, but they were away being balanced in Durban for more than a month. And when I got round to installing them in the engine, it all locked up solid. There’s something wrong with the main bearing caps, so they’re off at the engineers getting some professional attention.

While the engine is away I’ve been working through all the little seals and gaskets. It’s rather a challenge to figure out where they all go.

I’ve added spotlights to the front of my car, and some AA and club badges. The car has also landed on its own wheels for the first time. However, my hunt for suitable wheels continues. If you have a set of early 15 Inch Alfa Romeo wheels, do let me know.
