The Car Part One: Arrival.

In mid-2012, over drinks, I mentioned to some friends that I was looking to buy a Stepnose Alfa Romeo. Within days the perfect car had found me. A fellow member of the Alfa Romeo Club of Natal had me on the phone about a car that I couldn’t possibly turn down; A genuine Sprint GT with its original engine. That weekend I drove down to Pinetown to collect it.

The catch? The car was in kit-form. Only a few thousand bits to it.

The car as it arrived on the farm. Not a single bit bolted to the shell.

Only a few thousand bit to go.

The original 00502 engine. Full of rust.

A few thousand bits.
